If a property is affected right now
Use the form. It is the fastest route, because it goes to a restoration company that works your ZIP code rather than into a general inbox. Emergency requests are routed ahead of inspections and quote requests.
If there is a risk to life, a fire, a gas leak or an electrical hazard, call 911 first. For a suspected gas leak or a downed power line, call your utility provider from a safe distance. This website is not an emergency service.
Everything else
General questions, corrections to something we have published, privacy requests, press enquiries and complaints all go to info@sifixit.com and are read by a person.
If you are a restoration company interested in receiving referrals, there is a separate page for that: for restoration contractors.
What we cannot help with
- Telling you whether your insurance policy covers a loss, which is between you and your adjuster
- Quoting a price, because we do not do the work or set the rates
- Disputes with a provider you found somewhere else
- Health questions about mold or biological exposure, which is a question for a doctor
On a dispute with a provider we referred you to, tell us anyway. We want to know when a company in the network is not behaving.
Correcting something we published
If a guide on this site is wrong or out of date, send the page address and what is wrong with it. We would rather fix it than leave it.
